What We Do In The Dark.....
...(Finish the sentence). When we hear the phrase, "What you do in the dark will come to light," it's almost automatic to think of the negative aspects such as secrets, lies, bad habits, missteps, or mistakes. Let’s shift that perspective. There's so much more that transpires in the dark that doesn't get the acknowledgement it should.
What if, instead, we were referring to our moments of hard work, commitment, and growth that goes unseen? The quiet hours we put into our dreams, goals, and aspirations...the extra effort we give when no one is watching—I want to give these moments in the dark their spotlight.
This visual represented a self-reflection moment. With so many of us spending countless hours on social media scrolling, posting, commenting, and sharing content, there is so much more that goes unseen; that's being ideated, developed, and birthed.
Self-Reflection
What are you working on? What is it that has yet been brought to light...or life? Are you forced to work in the dark or is that personal preference? At what point (if any) will you know it's time?
Mindfulness
It's important for us to realize that we're not the only ones in the dark. Are we extending grace and compassion for others? Or, are we complaining and demanding more of their time and attention without taking the unspoken into consideration?
Soulution
Some of us are working on a multitude of assignments and projects, close to reaching the goals that will allow for and create more time in the light. Be generous...extend that grace, empathy, and understanding...you know their hearts, just as we know, not everyone is willing to put that time in.
